About Me

Doctoral candidate in the Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience area at the University of Florida, working with Dr. Peter Kvam. I received multiple awards to develop machine learning approaches to model fitting and joint modeling of various types of data. Throughout my graduate career, I have been working on projects related to modeling anticipatory decision-making and timing, pricing of delayed prospects, decisions among alternatives that change over time and various other higher cognitive functions that drive behavior such as procrastination.

Research

Decision-making, risky and intertemporal choice/valuation, procrastination, humans vs machine behavior, timing, description vs experience, multiattribute continuous tasks, connectionist models, AI (particularly Evolutionary Computation and RL), cognitive models, psych methods, theoretical modeling!

Data Science & Engineering

Probablistic modeling, inverse inference, deep learning for amortized inference, model automation and automated model comparison, simulation studies, variational inference, DL methods for alternative EDA, joint modeling for neural and behavioral data.

Technical Writing & Teaching

Subject matter expertise in areas of cognitive neuroscience, clinical and social psychology,cognitive science, and AI. Writing, editing, research, and audience analysis. Course development, course instruction, communication, public speaking, and collaboration.

Management

Project management and organization, research and information management, people management, mentoring of subordinates and peers, management of collaborations and data!
